Cookie Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) that Claspa uses when you visit claspa.co.uk, what they do, and how you can control them.
2. What are cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. "Similar technologies" covers things like browser local storage and session storage, which work in a comparable way, letting a site remember information between visits or while you're using it. We use both, and we treat them the same way for the purposes of this policy.
3. Strictly necessary
These keep the core site working and can't be switched off, they don't require your consent because the site can't function without them.
- claspa_user — keeps you signed in between visits, stored in your browser's local storage.
- claspa_terms_agreed — remembers that you've agreed to our Terms of Service, so you're not asked again on every visit.
- claspa_cookies_choice — remembers your choice on this exact cookie banner, so it doesn't reappear once you've made a decision.
4. Site operation and security
While you're actively browsing, your browser periodically confirms to our server that a page is still open. This is used solely to power a live visitor count on our internal admin dashboard, it does not track you individually across visits, is not linked to advertising of any kind, and is cleared automatically once your browsing session ends.
5. Third-party cookies
Some parts of Claspa rely on trusted third parties who may set their own cookies:
- Google Sign-In — if you sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies to manage that authentication. This is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours.
- Stripe — when you make a payment, you're taken to Stripe's own secure checkout page, which sets its own cookies to process your payment safely. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.
6. How long these last
The essential items listed in section 3 persist in your browser until you sign out or clear your browser's site data, they don't have a fixed expiry date. The session-operation check in section 4 lasts only for the duration of your browsing session.
7. Controlling and clearing these
You can clear cookies and local storage for Claspa at any time through your browser's settings, this will sign you out and reset any remembered preferences. Declining our cookie banner means we won't set anything beyond what's strictly necessary for the site to function.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we introduce a new feature that uses a new technology. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
